Who I am
Hi, I'm Dr. Giuseppe Parisi, specialist in Digestive diseases. I have been working full-time at the Gastroenterology and Metabolic Diseases Unit of Pisa University Hospital (AOUP) since March 1992. In these 29 years I have had the opportunity to accumulate experience in all fields of Gastroenterology, including Hepatology, not leaving out my passion for abdominal ultrasound. In 2008 I was awarded by the AOUP the qualification of "Professional with proven professionalism and specialization" with a professional assignment to the subject of "Diagnosis and therapy of chronic liver diseases". In 2010 I was given the task of "High technical-professional specialization" with the subject "Diagnosis and therapy of chronic liver diseases and pancreatic pathology". In 2013 I was given the professional assignment of "High specialization" with the subject "Diagnosis and treatment of chronic viral, metabolic and exotoxic hepatitis, pancreatic and biliary tract diseases". In 2019 I was awarded the professional assignment of "Very high specialization" with the subject "Head of capsular endoscopy activity". In July 2019 I was awarded the position of Acting Director of the same UOC. I am author / co-author of 39 publications published on national and international scientific journals, as well as 70 posters and / or communications accepted in national and international congresses. However, my activity has mainly turned to the care of patients hospitalized both in election and in emergency by the ER.
